Over a thousand people gathered for Chicago’s largest Simchas Beis Hashoeva at Congregation Bnei Ruven’s annual “Dancing in the Streets” celebration on the first night Chol Hamoed.

Danny Palgon headlined the event sponsored by Jewel-Osco and organized by Rabbi Baruch Hertz and Rabbi Moshe Elya Markowitz.  The crowd also enjoyed a performance by the Arie Crown Boys Choir and a fire show spectacular.

R’ Yakov Yarmove—Corporate Director of Ethnic Marketing & Specialty Foods at Albertsons Companies—arranged the sponsorship from Jewel-Osco in memory of Eliyahu Moscowitz H’yd, former Jewel mashgiach and associate who was tragically murdered 5 years ago.  The event featured a special video presentation commemorating Eliyahu as well as a video of the Rebbe.

The farbrengen continued throughout the night with leading Rabbonim of Chicago attending.
