Following Illinois Governer’s orders to close all private and public schools for two weeks, Lubavitch Mesivta of Chicago is sending all students home.
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker told school superintendents statewide on a call Friday that he will order schools to close from Tuesday, with classes set to resume March 30.
Following this announcement, Hanhala of Mesivta Ohr Eliyahu – Lubavitch in Chicago sent a message to parents saying “All Talmidim should go home on Sunday or Monday. We will have more to say after Shabbos. But in the meantime everyone can book tickets for Sunday or Monday anytime.”
