The Chicago Jewish community celebrated Lag Baomer with a Jewish Family Festival featuring entertainment, barbecue and a bonfire.
The event was put on by Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois, led by regional director Rabbi Meir Shimon Moscowitz and executive director Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Moscowitz. 4,500 people from all walks of life associated with Illinois’ many Chabad mosdos participated in the celebration.
The program included a thrilling BMX stunt show, rides, barbecue, a marching band put on by students of Cheder Lubavitch, and a grand bonfire.
