Popular Shiur Teaches Chassidus That Speaks Your Language

Now in its third year, with 80 shiurim on over 30 maamorim, Chassidus Explained by Rabbi Shmuel Wagner is set out to be “Chassidus that Speaks Your Language!” With an emphasis on clarity and relevance, each shiur will explain the pesukim, topics, and concepts discussed in the maamar, in a thorough, yet concise manner.

The search for happiness started with the second human, Chava, and has been ongoing ever since.

Clearly, the desire to feel joy in one’s life is a powerful urge, with people often spending their entire life in pursuit of this elusive experience.

How can one feel happiness? What does joy come from? Why do so many people find it so hard to be content with their lives? Discover the answer to these questions in the Rebbe’s fundamental maamar on joy. Based on the opening pasuk of this week’s parshah, “Vayihyu Chayei Sarah” 5741 reveals a revolutionary perspective into the science of simcha.

This maamar is the latest set of shiurim by Rabbi Shmuel Wagner. Rabbi Wagner gives a live, weekly shiur, on Sunday mornings in Ohel Nosson (580 Crown Street) in Crown Heights. The shiurim can be found on Spotify under “Chassidus Explained”, where hundreds of listeners enjoy, as one listener describes it, “A maamar with Rabbi Wagner is simply different than any other method”.

Currently in its third year, with 80 shiurim on over 30 maamorim, Chassidus Explained is set out to be “Chassidus that Speaks Your Language!” With an emphasis on clarity and relevance, each shiur will explain the pesukim, topics, and concepts discussed in the maamar, in a thorough, yet concise manner.

As Avi Webb (founder and participant of the shiur) describes, “When he teaches a maamar, Rabbi Wagner brings the full picture to make these connections: what was going on in the world when the Rebbe said it, where else the Rebbe speaks about the topic, what each quoted pasuk is all about. Every maamar is a course, and a delightful one!”

Or as another participant put it, “Rabbi Wagner’s shiurim explain the maamarim in a clear, succinct, relatable way, without sacrificing the depth and knowledge of the maamar.”

As we enter 30 days before Yud-Tes Kislev, Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus, rekindle your passion for Chassidus with an enjoyable weekly shiur, “creating the perfect start to the week”, as you “learn how the ideas and concepts are relevant and can be applied to our daily lives”!
