The Rebbe encouraged the learning of the weekly Chassidishe Parsha by learning the maamarim of Torah Ohr and Likutei Torah. To facilitate this learning for English speakers, Rabbi Nissan Dovid Dubov of Chabad Wimbledon UK partnered with Rabbi Shmuel Lifshitz of Chabad.org to record and translate these maamorim, with Sefer Torah Ohr being recently completed.
It is well known that the maamarim in Torah Ohr and Likutei Torah form the base of the further derushim of the Rabbeim. In the entry of 14th Adar Rishon in Hayom Yom the Rebbe Maharash told the Rebbe Rashab that the Tzemach Tzedek selected the maamarim printed in Likutei Torah from amond 2000 maamarim. Furthermore, the Rebbe encouraged the learning of the weekly Chassidishe parshah by learning the maamarim of Torah Ohr and Likutei Torah on the parshah and in certain years the Rebbe requested that everybody complete these seforim during the course of the year.
Notably by the Kinus Hashluchim of 5752, the Rebbe directed the Shluchim to learn Torah Ohr and Likutei Torah including the dreushim of Shir Hashirim which speak of the ultimate union of Klal Yisroel and Hashem when Moshiach will come.
To facilitate this learning for English speakers in audio format, Rabbi Nissan Dovid Dubov of Chabad Wimbledon UK together with Rabbi Shmuel Lifshitz of Chabad.org embarked on a project to record and translate these maamorim. With immense gratitude to Hashem the entire Sefer Torah Ohr is now complete (with all the hosafos printed at the back) and can be heard at chabad.org/learntorahohr.
The task now remains to complete Likutei Torah – many maamorim of which are already accessible on Chabad.org/learnlikuteitorah.
This audio format is perfect when walking, driving or doing other mundane tasks and allows one to gain a grasp of the chassidishe parsha, which as previously mentioned form the base of the later sichos and maamorim.
As a valuable contribution to Hafotzas Hamayanos Chutzah, please bring this achievement to the notice of friends and acquaintances.
