On Tuesday night, The Lincoln Place Shul and Beis Hamedrash held its first Challah Bake, in Northern Crown Heights.
Many women gathered to unite and be inspired by the guest speaker Rebbetzen Winnie Gourarie, a veteran Shlucha in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The enjoyment and the inspiration were palpable at the event.
Mrs. Chaya Shushan, Co-director of The Lincoln Place Shul, welcomed the crowd with words of inspiration and the meaning of the Mitzvah of Hafrashas Challah.
Rebbetzen Gourarie shared a part of the many personal encounters and correspondence that her husband Rabbi Shalom Dov Ber A”H Gourarie and herself had with the Rebbe, the crowd was moved and good resolutions were undertaken.
The event was co-sponsored by Samuel Salfati and Ben Peleg.
