With sadness, we regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Chaim Tzvi Dovid Konikov of Crown Heights. He passed away Erev Shabbos, the 2nd of Nissan, 5780.
He was an eynikel of the chossid Reb Chaim Tzvi Konikov, a Lubavitcher tomim, who came to America in 5690/1930 and served in rabbonus until his passing in 5715/1955. His father was Moshe Yitzchok, who lived in Springfield, Massachusetts and passed away in 5744/1984.
He served for many years as a rebbi in the Lubavitcher Yeshiva, as well as the Baal Koreh in Shain’s Shul in Crown Heights.
He is survived by his son Rabbi Moshe Yitzchok Meir Konikov – Crown Heights and by his mother Mrs. Feigeh Gittel Konikov (who must NOT be told, as per the family instructions), and siblings.
The Levaye will be at 1:30 today, beginning outside 565 Crown St before passing 770 and continuing on to the Old Montefiore Cemetery.
