Chabad to Host Inspirational ‘Light For Bondi’ Event
An online gathering of inspiration, marking one week after the horrific attack on Bondi Beach, will be broadcasting tonight via Chabad.org, and is expected to include messages from Chabad rabbis alongside Australian political leaders.
One week after the horrific attack on Bondi Beach, which claimed the lives of more than a dozen, Sydney’s Jewish and political leaders and survivors will be leading an online gathering of inspiration.
Hosted by Chabad.org, the broadcast will include messages from:
- Rabbi Pinchus Feldman OAM, the Rebbe’s shliach to NSW for more than 60 years
- The Hon. Steve Kamper, MP and Minister for Multiculturalism, member of the Australian Labor Party
- Rabbi Michoel Gourarie, director of BINA
- Rebbetzin Fruma Schapiro, shluchah to Sydney’s North Shore
- Yanky Super, a bochur and Hatzalah member who was injured in the attack
- Rabbi Yehoram Ulman, director of Chabad of Bondi, senior member of the Sydney Beth Din, and father-in-law of the late Rabbi Eli Schlanger HYD
The program is set to begin on Sunday, 7 p.m. ET (Monday, 11 a.m. AED).
The program will broadcast at Chabad.org/Light.
