Over 500 students, teachers and support staff came together for Baltimore’s Lag Baomer Unity Event. A project of Chabad of Park Heights and Yeshivas Lubavitch of Baltimore, the program took place at Police Academy Fields.
The fun-filled day began with greetings from Councilman Yitzy Schleifer and divrei Torah shared by representatives from each school. After a Lag Baomer themed play and a guest entertainer, the children departed on a joyous march, carrying banners and accompanied by themed floats. The days’ festivities ended with a carnival.
Security was organized by Sergeant Currie of the Baltimore Police Department with help from Shomrim. Organizers of the event hope to turn this into an annual tradition.
