    I missed the Shiur.

Can we buy Salmon from Costco?

Whats about the kirkland brand, without the skin on, like the frozen portion packages? It has an OU, but OU has a lower standard than Chassidishe Hashgachois, [requires only 1 seal].

    Wondering what Rabbi Oberlandef rules?

    1. I am aware of such a policy, but it doesn’t have a reliable source in Halacha.

Halacha does not discuss any sort of “siman” and we are dealing with a דאורייתא.

I used to work for the OK at a Fish Market.

From my teacher, R Chanowitz, I learned, that the recent studies have shown, that color in the feed of fish, will only make a Salmon [pink] fish pinker.

[if the color is injected by needle, ift will be noticed as it comes out uneven/blochy]

He therefore told me that the OK, could really on the color of Salmon, to be enough of a proof. Since this color is unique to a kosher fish, the only other fish with a salmon like color, is also a kosher one!
