Campaign Launched for Menachem Litzman’s Family

Even as a young child, Menachem Litzman spread the wellsprings of Torah and Chassidus through digital media, creating weekly Parsha videos watched by tens of thousands around the world. Honor Menachem’s memory in Korea by strengthening the very institutions that were part of his life’s mission.

In the midst of the massive rally in Jerusalem for the sake of Torah, the young, smiling Shliach Menachem Mendel, son of the Rebbe’s Shluchim to Korea, Rabbi Osher and Mussy Litzman, was tragically taken from us.

Menachem was a shliach from birth. Raised literally at “the end of the world,” he never stopped shining light and warming hearts. Even as a young child, he was spreading the wellsprings of Torah and Chassidus through media, creating weekly parsha videos viewed by tens of thousands around the world. On that bitter day, at the height of his growth, Meachem was taken at just 17 years old, leaving behind his family, friends, and the entire Jewish world in shock and grief.

But we will not break.

This terrible tragedy struck at a time when Chabad activities in South Korea were flourishing and expanding. Now more than ever, we feel it is our privilege and duty to honor Menachem’s memory in the spirit that defined him: growth, increased action, joyful commitment to Shlichus, and always, always with a smile.

We invite you to join us in perpetuating Menachem’s beloved memory here in Korea by strengthening the very institutions that were part of his life’s mission.

Building and expanding Chabad of Korea as a warm and vibrant home for every Jew, physically and spiritually, is the truest way to remember Menachem. That’s how we begin to heal.
