By Camp Tzeirei Hatmimim
Geared to 6th, 7th and 8th graders, Camp Tzeirei Hatmimim was established by Rabbi Yitzchok Wolf of Crown Heights and Rabbi Yosef Klein of Baltimore, in the spirit of the Rebbe’s instruction to utilize the summer months for learning and growth.
The first month offers a full day program in Crown Heights, where the talmidim are given the opportunity to thrive in learning for half a day, and enjoy activities, guest speakers and trips in the afternoon.
During the second month, in an overnight camp atmosphere in Baltimore MD, the campers are immersed in a full camp experience. The emphasis on growth in learning is amplified during the second month, as the camp songs, the recreational activities and the relationships built, will accompany the children throughout the year.
The teachers serve in chinuch positions throughout the year. This year, the boys will be taught by the exceptional Magidei Shiur, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Blau, who serves year round as the Menahel Yeshivas Chovovei Torah of Crown Heights, and Rabbi Yosef Yitzchock Shmuckler, Rosh Hakolel of Manhattan kolel.
In the afternoons, the boys will enjoy camp activities and trips in a chassidishe atmosphere, under the caring direction of Rabbi Yehudah Leib Aronson, Mashpia of Oholei Tora 8th grade and at Mesivta Chovevei Torah.
During the second month, at the overnight camp in baltimore, Rabbi Avrohom Browd, a teacher at Cheder Ohel Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch of Detroit will come as a Magid Shiur, and Menachem Mendel Chein will be the head counselor.
Both months’ programs will be led by Rabbi Yosef Klein, a Mashpia at Yeshivas Lubavitch Baltimore, who gives the camp its distinct flavor. He will oversee the curriculum, the activities and the programs, and will also serve as a Maggid Shiur.
As a part of the wholesome experience, during the second month, bochurim from 770 will also serve as staff, and bring their Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva passion with them for the campers.
