Camp Emunah Will Open in the Poconos

Camp Emunah, the oldest Chabad camp for girls, will be opening this summer in the Pocono mountains, after New York State announced that overnight camps would be banned for the summer of 2020.

“On this past Friday, when NYS announced that summer camps would not be permitted, we kept hearing from campers how devastated they were,” directors told Anash.org. “We decided that it was a must to make the summer a reality.”

The camp directors say that they toured many locations all over the northeast, searching for a location that would fit their needs.

“Baruch Hashem, with the Rebbe’s brochos, we are very excited to announce that Camp Emunah has secured a beautiful location out of NY state that will suit our needs b’ruchniyos and b’gashmiyos for the upcoming summer of 5780,” they said.

The camp will be taking place in the magnificent campus of Camp Tiago in the Pocono Mountains, an approximately three hour drive from Crown Heights.

The camp boasts air conditioned bunkhouses, a large and expansive dining hall, a media center, canteen, sports fields and arts and crafts room.
