Camp Emunah is inviting girls and women from all around the world to virtually participate in the Mega Emunah Challah Bake.
The event will take place at Camp Emunah’s interim location in Green Lane, Pennsylvania at 5:00 PM EST on August 13, 2020 Chof Gimmel Av 5780, and will be streamed live.
The Challah Bake is being held as a tribute and for the complete and speedy recovery of Camp Emunah Director, Rebbetzin Chave Hecht (Chava bas Esther Leah), who has been rehabilitating from a stroke she suffered.
“For her, the best therapy is the nachas she gets from her campers, and the regards she’s been receiving from friends and alumni from all over the world,” said Mrs Baila Kievman
Rebbetzin Hecht, together with her late husband Rabbi Jacob J. Hecht founded Camp Emunah in 1953, is regarded as a pioneer and innovator of Jewish camping and has spent the better part of a century involved in all facets of Emunah’s growth.
Her tenure as the director of Camp Emunah is the longest of any known youth organization, and her leadership has touched the lives of many thousands of campers and their families.
