Yeshivas Lubavitch Toronto marked the auspicious day of Chai Elul — the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe — with a festive seudah followed by joyous dancing. The talmidim celebrated the day with chayus, highlighting its significance as the source of renewed vitality in avodas Hashem.
The evening also served as a warm welcome for the new shluchim who have joined the yeshivah this year: Yechezkel Chanoch Hakohen Langzam, Moshe Yehuda Melul, Menachem Mendel HaLevi Fischer, Yosef Peretz Cunin, Menachem Mendel Katzenelbogen, and Aryeh Leib Reichman.
The hanhala delivered inspiring divrei hisorerus to the talmidim. Harav Shmaryahu Labkowski, Rosh Yeshiva, highlighted the special connection of Chai Elul to the foundations of Chassidus and the mission of Tomchei Temimim. Rabbi Avrohom Mann, mashpia in the yeshivah, spoke words of chizuk in avodas hatefillah. Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Zaltzman, R”M in nigleh, encouraged the talmidim to approach the coming year with renewed diligence in Torah and yiras Shamayim.
The event concluded with lively dancing, as the talmidim expressed their joy in the spirit of Chassidus and warmly welcomed the new shluchim into their midst.
Happy 40th birthday to Hamashpia R’ Leibel Shnas Hatzlacha bgu”r
