Boy Completes Seder Nashim from Frierdiker Rebbe’s Mishnayos

Schneur Zalman Gahj, a young boy in Moscow, marked a special milestone as he completed Seder Nashim of Mishnayos by heart in honor of Yud-Alef Nissan, the Rebbe’s birthday.
In an added twist, the siyum on the final mesechta of Kiddushin was made from a historic volume of Mishnayos Seder Nashim presumed to have been used by the Frierdiker Rebbe in his youth. The sefer is currently housed in a library in Moscow, awaiting its return together with the rest of the Lubavitcher seforim to the Rebbe’s library in 770.
A glimpse inside the sefer offers a window into the Frierdiker Rebbe’s early years in Lubavitch. Written on the inner cover are handwritten notes which seem to document the personal gemach he ran, lending money from his own funds, which he earned through memorizing Mishnayos. Financial records and personal signatures fill the pages, bringing to life a vivid and inspiring chapter of his youth.
