This summer in Postville Yeshiva, bochurim combined dedicated Torah learning with uplifting farbrengens, meaningful mivtzoim, and exciting trips, gaining lasting chassidishe inspiration that strengthened both their avoda and commitment.

The Postville Yeshivas Kayitz recently wrapped up another unforgettable summer, leaving its talmidim enriched with deeper knowledge, strengthened hachlatos, and lasting memories of true chassidishe warmth. Over the course of several packed weeks, the bochurim experienced a careful blend of rigorous learning, inspiring farbrengens, and exciting trips—all of which contributed to their growth in Torah and Chassidus.

The learning program was at the heart of the summer. Bochurim delved into sugyos in gemara, Novi, and halacha, with many delivering summary shiurim and even celebrating siyumim. Special shiurim were given on timely topics such as the fast of Shiva Asar B’Tammuz and the sugya of chalav Yisroel, as well as interactive classes addressing the challenges of technology in a chassidishe home. The Mivtza Kluger program, designed to sharpen the bochurim’s knowledge of Chabad history, added a spirited sense of competition and enthusiasm to the beis midrash.

Alongside their learning, the bochurim enjoyed a wide range of trips and outings. From hiking and star-gazing at Wyalusing State Park to exploring the “House on the Rock” museum, from touring Postville’s Agri plant to watching the sunrise at Pikes Peak State Park, each trip was infused with meaning and perspective. In one highlight, the yeshiva visited a dairy farm to better understand the sugya of chalav Yisroel they had been learning, bridging theory and practice in a tangible way.

Mivtzoim were another powerful component of the summer. The bochurim participated in the famous Ragbrai biking event, where they set up tefillin stands and connected with countless Jewish participants. In partnership with local shluchim, they provided Shabbos meals and inspiration for Jewish bikers—turning a regional sporting event into a true kiddush Hashem. Regular Friday mivtzoim to nearby towns gave many bochurim additional opportunities to share Yiddishkeit.

Shabbos in Postville proved to be a weekly highlight. The minhag of selling aliyos for hachlatos tovos inspired bochurim to commit to concrete goals in learning and avoda. Meals with local families deepened the connection between the yeshiva and the community, while farbrengens and melave malkas with rabbonim, shluchim, and local mashpi’im created moments of inspiration that will stay with the talmidim long after the summer.

The summer concluded with an unforgettable grand trip to Minnesota, capping off weeks of dedication, growth, and chassidishe energy. As the bochurim return home, they carry with them the knowledge, experiences, and inspiration of a summer well spent—ready to continue “ילכו מחיל אל חיל,” going from strength to strength, bringing nachas to the Rebbe wherever they go.
