Artist Devorah Leah Strassberg created a mural with names of 1400 kedoshim who were killed last year on Simchas Torah. The artwork, titled “We Will Dance For Them,” will go on display at various Chabad Houses and Shuls.
To mark the first yahrtzeit of the over kedoshim killed last year on Simchas Torah, artist Devorah Leah Strassberg created a mural with names of the kedoshim among people dancing. The artwork, titled “We Will Dance For Them,” highlights how we can dance for those souls.
The mural will be displayed at various Chabad Houses and Shuls across the country to honor and memorialize the kedoshim.
In the description, the artist writes:
“Simchas Torah one year ago, a day so filled of pain and evil, of which was ever-present throughout the year. Today we reclaim Simchas Torah to a day of joy and life.
“As we celebrate the completion of the Torah and dance in unison with great jubilation, let us reel in the lessons of heroism, zest for life and joy – והחי יתן אל לבו, celebrating the lives lived and the life we will live moving forward.
“The Torah lives on
The soul lives on
The nation of Israel lives on
אתה הראת לדעת, כי ה’ הוא האלה-ם, אין עוד מלבדו.”
Beautiful!
