An arson attempt targeted the shul in Obninsk, Russia last night when bottles of flammable liquid were thrown at it, damaging the main entrance in the second such attack in a year after two minors were arrested for a previous fire.

In the city of Obninsk, in the Kaluga region of Russia – located about 100 kilometers southwest of Moscow – an attempt was made last night to set the local shul on fire.

According to an initial investigation, at least three bottles containing a flammable mixture were thrown into the shul building. Damage was caused to the main entrance.

In a previous attempt about a year ago to set fire to this same shul, the electrical panel was burned; at that time, police arrested two minors.
