Antwerp’s Yeshiva made its mark by hosting its own Kinus HaShluchim, themed “Conquering the World Through Torah Learning.” Over the five-day program, culminating in a grand banquet, the bochurim engaged in learning, farbrengens, and discussions, discovering how their yeshiva studies transform the world just as effectively as a thriving Chabad House.
The past few days at the Yeshiva in Tomchei Temimim Antwerp will forever remain etched in the memories of the bochurim.
For five unforgettable days, they participated in an inspiring and dynamic Kinus HaShluchim. The program centered on the theme “Conquering the World Through Torah Learning”, based on the Rebbe’s words from the renowned 15th of Shevat 5731 sicha. At the opening event, held in the zal, the bochurim watched the special sicha together and heard from shluchim how their learning of nigleh and Chassidus in yeshiva transforms the world no less than a thriving Chabad House.
At the end of the opening session, each bochur received a kit containing a specially prepared study booklet with the Rebbe’s teachings on the unique mission of yeshiva students, letters from the Rebbe, and stories illustrating the Rebbe’s vision for Torah learning. They also received a detailed program itinerary and a personalized name tag. The evening continued with a farbrengen led by Rabbi Levi Azimov, the Rebbe’s shliach to France, who inspired the bochurim to utilize these special days for the Rebbe’s nachas and to deepen their connection to him.
On Friday night, the bochurim gathered for a unifying Shabbos meal. The talmidim hashluchim shared captivating stories about the unique strengths the Rebbe grants each shliach and the unparalleled privilege of fulfilling his mission. The farbrengen continued late into the night. During the Shabbos day meal, the bochurim joined the yeshiva staff, including Rabbi Menachem Mendel Tavardovitch and Rabbi Yehoshua Rabinowitz, for another uplifting farbrengen.
On Motzaei Shabbos, the bochurim gathered in the “Museum Hall” at the Chabad House for a multimedia presentation. The program featured stories and reflections from shluchim who were with the Rebbe during Kinus HaShluchim 5748, immersing the bochurim in the kinus atmosphere and filling them with pride to be part of the Rebbe’s shlichus.
On Sunday evening, Rabbi Uzi Friedland delivered a shiur on the Rebbe’s Acharon Shel Pesach 5736 sicha, weaving in personal stories that illustrated the Rebbe’s vision for Chayalei Beis Dovid. A spontaneous farbrengen with Rabbi Friedland followed the shiur. The grand finale was Monday’s banquet, an inspiring and meticulously organized event. From the elegant setup to the gourmet dishes, every detail reflected exceptional care. The bochurim signed a pan kloli upon arrival and watched a tribute to Rabbi Tzvi HaKohen Kogan, HY”D. The program included moving speeches, video clips of shlichus activities, and a roll call of the 22 countries represented by the yeshiva’s bochurim, accompanied by spirited dancing.
These days left the bochurim deeply inspired, with a renewed dedication to their mission as the Rebbe’s shluchim, working tirelessly toward the ultimate redemption. The yeshiva expressed heartfelt gratitude to the talmidim hashluchim for their tireless efforts in organizing the event with such excellence and Chassidic warmth.
