Over three hundred anash and shluchim have already signed up to join a memorable, inspirational program being planned for those spending the seventy-fifth yom hillula of the Rebbe’s father in Alma Ata. An entire hotel has already been completely booked, and a second one has been secured to provide lodging for the many visitors. (To register, visit chofav.com.)

This Chof Av marks seventy-five years since the histalkus of Reb Levi Yitzchok, the Rebbe’s father. Anash and tmimim around the world are preparing for this auspicious day, studying Reb Levi Yitzchok’s torah, among other initiatives. Many of them will also be traveling to Alma Ata, to spend Chof Av at the tziyun of the Rebbe’s father. This year, a special program is being arranged to accommodate the many visitors.

Preparations for this full two-day program are currently in full swing. Speakers will include Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, famous rosh yeshiva and rov in Miami; world-renowned Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, vice-chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch; Rabbi Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin, known for his inspirational farbrengens; Rabbi Dovid Dubov, expert on Reb Levi Yitzchok’s Torah; and many more fascinating speakers, inspiring farbrengens, and intriguing presentations.

All those registered for the program will have all their needs and expenses covered, from their arrival until their departure. This includes food, lodging, transportation, and more (including a twenty-four-hour tea room).

The Rebbe’s great affinity for those who visited the kevarim of his family members is well known. During a regional kinus in 5751 (1991), the shluchim in Europe visited Alma Ata on Chof Av. The Rebbe instructed the group to remain there for the entire day, to enable them to daven all three of the daily tefillos at his father’s resting place.Similarly, the Rebbe thanked people who reported they had visited the kever of his brother, Reb Yisroel Aryeh Leib, in Tzefas, and on occasion the Rebbe even asked individuals to travel there and place a tzetel on his matzeivah.

Boruch Hashem, hundreds of people have already registered to participate in this special program, and many more are joining every day.If you haven’t yet registered, now is the time!
