Shalom U’Vracha!
As we draw near to the auspicious day of 11th of Nissan, the 123rd birthday of our Rebbe זצוקללה”ה נבג”מ זי”ע.
On this day, as the Rebbe stated, “There can and must be an even stronger Hiskashrus and commitment to his path and actions, in an ever-increasing manner.”
We must utilize these days to intensify our efforts in studying the Rebbe’s Torah and implementing his holy directives. As the Rebbe requested and instructed, that the inspiration connected to his birthday should lead to an increase in Torah and Mitzvos.
This includes:
1. Studying diligently the Rebbe’s Sichos, Maamorim, Reshimos, and Letters, with special emphasis on “Kuntres Yud Alef Nissan 5749” and the maamar “B’Yom Ashtei Asar 5731”.
In the merit of this mitzvah of Pidyon Shevuyim, we hope to soon experience the ultimate Didan Notzach, and that Hashem will take us out of Galus immediately.
2. Strengthening our studies in the topics related to Geula and Moshiach, as this is the most direct path to ushering in the complete Geula.
3. Reinforcing one’s commitment to the study of Rambam, in accordance with each individual’s capacity (three chapters, one chapter, or Sefer Hamitzvos), especially as Yud Alef Nissan marks forty years since the completion of the first cycle of Rambam.
4. Shluchim and every member of Anash should increase their activities in the ten mivtzoim and as we approach Pesach, especially Mivtza Matza.
On the day of Yud Alef Nissan, a Pan Kloli, signed by all Chassidim will be presented at the Ohel. You can add your name and your mother’s name by visiting http://www.aguch.org/pankloli or by emailing pankloli@aguch.org . The Pan will be read at 2 PM (EST).
We wish to inform you (in accordance with the Rebbe’s directive given in a private audience with the members of Agudas Chassidei Chabad on the 9th of Marcheshvan, 5749 [1988]) that one can contact the Vaad of Agudas Chassidei Chabad on any matter via email at aguch@aguch.org
With the commencement of the recitation of Chapter 124 in Tehillim (Psalms)—which, as explained by the Rebbe, expresses the idea: “Had it not been for Hashem who was with us, let Israel say,” “Had it not been for Hashem who was with us when men rose up against us,” leading to salvation: “He has not given us as prey…”—this means that not only is a descent intended to bring about an even greater ascent later, but even during the golus itself, the elevation of “Had it not been for Hashem who was with us” is already present.
With a heartfelt cry:: “Ad Mosai?!” “דאלוי גלות!”;
May we soon merit to see the continuation of the verse, “עזרנו בשם ה’ עושה שמים וארץ” speedily in our days, and may we all—together with the entire Jewish people—witness the fulfillment of the prophecy of “Hakitzu V’ranenu,” with the Rebbe leading us out of this bitter and dark golus and guiding us upright to our Holy Land with the true and complete redemption.
On behalf of the Vaad,
Rabbi Avrohom Shemtov
Chairman
There is a mistake in the English translation. In the section about learning the Rebbe’s Torah it says something about pidyon shvuim without context. The Hebrew letter there’s no mention of this at all
