After Year of Challenges, Shluchim Draw Strength at the Rebbe’s Ohel

Thousands of shluchim gathered at the Rebbe’s Ohel to daven, reflect, and reconnect with their source, presenting a pan klali on behalf of Klal Yisroel and rededicating themselves to carrying out the Rebbe’s mission with renewed vigor.

Day Three of the International Conference of Chabad Emissaries began with a heartfelt visit to the Ohel, the spiritual climax of the largest gathering of Jewish leaders.

Representing Jewish life in 110 countries around the world, the shluchim gathered at the most visited Jewish religious site outside of Israel to pray for themselves, their families, their communities back home, and the Jewish people as a whole.

“These shluchim are carrying the weight of the Jewish people. From war-torn countries and natural disasters to everyday human struggles, they absorb it all,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Director of the International Conference of Chabad Emissaries. “But here, at the Rebbe’s resting place, they draw the strength they need to keep going, to return home and be the ones who uplift, who rebuild, and give hope to millions of Jews across the globe.”

For Rabbi Leivy Srugo, who leads Chabad Young Professionals in Taiwan, the 7,800-mile trip to the conference all came down to this moment. “Visiting the Rebbe’s Ohel during the Kinus gives me so much strength,” he said. “Once a year, I get to come and receive, so I can give back, and increase our efforts to be there for the Jewish community and tourists in Taiwan.”

The Pan Haklali, which was read by Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan, Head Shliach of Maryland and member of the International Kinus and Merkos committees, on behalf of all Jewish communities worldwide, was also written and read at the Rebbe’s resting place. The atmosphere was deeply moving and reflected their dedication to their communities and the Rebbe’s vision.
