Activists Urge Residents to Call Yvette Clark

As rockets rain down on Israeli towns and cities, a group of anti-Israel members of Congress is trying to block the sale of U.S. arms to Israel. Crown Heights activists are urging residents to call Rep. Yvette Clark and demand that she oppose the bill.

As rockets rain down on Israeli towns and cities, a group of anti-Israel members of Congress is trying to block the sale of $735 million of U.S. precision-guided weapons to Israel.

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Mark Pocan of Wisconsin, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan are expected to introdice the House resolution to block the sale. Sen. Bernie Sanders is expected to introduce a similar measure in the Senate.

President Joe Biden approved the arms sale to Israel earlier this month. But now, when Israel needs it most, members of Congress are introducing legislation to block the sale.

Blocking this sale would reward Hamas’s strategy, weaken America and Israel, and increase civilian casualties in a future conflict. The U.S. must continue to stand with Israel. The arms in question are crucial to ensuring Israel can protect itself from future threats posed by Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran.

Please contact your member of Congress and strongly urge them to oppose any attempt to block arms sales to our ally and partner Israel. You can find your member of Congress by clicking here.

Congresswoman Yvette Clarke whose district includes Crown Heights is receiving 10 to 1 calls in support of blocking the arms sale. We need to rise up and share this with everyone and anyone we know and make our voices heard.
