A 1930s Question That Still Challenges Every Chossid Today
In a new 13-minute video from Kabbalah Demystified, you’ll uncover the meaning of his’havus tmidis, how Hashem is constantly creating the world, as seen through a 1930s Tomchei Tmimim bochur’s probing questions and the insightful answers of mashpi’im, revealing how this teaching shapes our understanding of existence and Elokus.
We often first encounter the concept of his’havos tmidis, that Hashem is constantly recreating the world, when we’re young. But beneath the simple explanation lies a depth that can transform how we see reality itself.
Back in the 1930s, a bochur in Tomchei Tmimim raised sharp questions about this idea. The answers he received from several mashpi’im opened up profound layers of Chassidus, revealing how this teaching shapes our understanding of existence and Elokus.
In this 13‑minute video, you’ll journey through those questions and answers, uncovering the timeless depth of his’havus tmidis.

Wow, this is so clearly explained! It’s also presented in a fascinating way. Who’s the talented creator here? (Pun intended 🙂
I checked on youtube and there’s no name either 🤔
Whoever you are, don’t hide! Great job!
He was the best mashgiach in OT by far.
Was always surrounded by the chasssidishe bochurim, and very social with us, he is also boki in halacha!
Thank you for that
The fact that only a creator can create like your saying in step 4, is only according to that premise.
I’ve heard that R Yoel Khan spoke about this and that it’s not so simple to say that hashem can’t give the ability of something else to create. Then again I dont know the details so, maybe not.
Where is the source that hashem can’t create something that can create other things? Or would that be like saying can G-d create another God? Would like to know what any of you think. Thanks
he said at the end that the entire discussion is only within out understanding as humans. i think this is based on sichos of the rebbe in the 80’s
Beautifully done video! Great content and clear to see what work went in to it. One point for the future: I saw Tamei cards in the video. We aren’t supposed to look at them so they shouldn’t be there.
