An ‘azkarah‘ memorial for Chacham Michoel Nimni, marking his fifth yahrzeit, was held in Crown Heights at the kollel he established and led.

Rabbi Nimni was the rov of a shul and beis medrash in Crown Heights, which he opened at the request of Rishon Letzion Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu.

The azkarah was attended by family, friends and students, who recalled Rabbi Nimni’s love for Torah and his fellow Jew, his many acts of kindness, and his work to increase Torah study in the neighborhood.

Among those addressing the azkarah were Harav Yosef Braun of the Crown Heights Beis Din, who spoke for close to 15 minutes, drawing lessons from Rabbi Nimni’s name, life and legacy.
