The “Yissachar and Zevulun” initiative just wrapped up another successful month of strong Torah learning. Hundreds of dedicated bochurim who stuck with one of the five intense learning tracks earned cash stipends totaling tens of thousands of dollars for their hard work and commitment.

While many yeshivos around the world are winding down for the end of zman, things look very different at 770. Here, the seder hayeshiva is running full speed ahead, and the bochurim are fully immersed in the world of Torah. Even now, alongside the regular sedarim, the bochurim are going strong in the “Yissachar and Zevulun” program.

The project’s custom study booklets have become a regular part of the 770 scene. They’re seen open on the benches throughout the zal, showing the fire and dedication of the talmidim. You can feel the excitement and energy – the learning is fast-paced, and there’s a real sense of accomplishment in the air, built up since the beginning of the year.

This past month reached its peak with a comprehensive test – and then came the big moment. The stipend distribution ceremony at 770 was moving and uplifting. Every bochur walked out with a significant cash award. There’s no question that this support makes a big difference, allowing the bochurim to throw themselves into learning without financial worries, and stay focused fully on nigleh and chassidus.

This is also an opportunity to once again thank our dear donors, the “Zevulunim,” who make it possible to carry out the project in the proper spirit.

The goal of the project is clear: to enable every dedicated student to devote all his time and energy solely to Torah study, making full use of his time at the central Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch yeshiva – 770!

How does it work? Five serious study tracks with year-long goals have been established. At the end of each month, an exam is held, and at the beginning of the following month, each student receives a respectable monetary scholarship.

Track One: Focuses on hemshech samech vov, so that throughout the year the students complete all the maamarim of the hemshech samech vov.

Track Two: Dedicated to halachic studies, where the entire chelek alef of Shulchan Aruch by the Alter Rebbe is learned—in practical halacha.

Track Three: Concentrates on “Girsah” studies, with one page a day, and b’ezras Hashem, by the end of the year the entire masechtas Ketubos and Moed Katan will be completed.

Track Four: Focused on geulah umoshiach studies, so that during the year all of Lekutei Sichos on geulah umoshiach are covered.

Track Five: New for this year—students study portions from chelek beis, gimel, daled of Shulchan Aruch, ensuring that by year’s end they emerge with a comprehensive understanding of the laws of Shabbos and all the yomim tovim in practical halacha.
