216 preschools around the world are preparing for the new school year with a brand new core values curriculum package from Chabad Early Childhood of the Shluchim Office.

Chabad Early Childhood is bringing the “core values” concept back to its roots with Footsteps, a new preschool program designed to shape kind, grounded, and resilient human beings.

Published this summer, Footsteps is more than a curriculum, it’s a mindset that’s rooted in Torah and inspired by the Rebbe’s vision for education and outreach. The program elevates the already meaningful work happening inside Chabad preschools around the world. By integrating timeless Jewish values into every aspect of the classroom experience, Footsteps is designed to guide young learners through a journey of growth, Jewish pride, and character development.

“In a time when parents are seeking more than just academics, Footsteps shows families that your preschool is shaping the whole child,” said Mrs. Aidie Shusterman, the program’s writer and developer. “Core values are the foundation and heart of an educational institution, and this program helps bring them to life impacting your students, staff, and parent body.”

Each unit introduces a relatable Jewish Hero, turning abstract concepts like kindness, responsibility, and resilience into tangible stories and classroom moments. The values are  woven into hands-on activities, classroom culture, family engagement, and staff development.

“This is a powerful tool to help schools highlight what makes them truly unique,” shared Director Mrs. Rivky Baitelman. “Shluchos took part in a soft launch of Footsteps being introduced to core values, their role in the education world and how to implement it as Shluchos. Based on the positive feedback at the Kinus Hashluchos, Footsteps took shape according to the needs of our directors.”
