A special Tu B’av rally united the local Crown Heights camps in 770 in honor of the special day and in honor of the yartzeit of Rabbi JJ Hecht.
Rabbi Shimon Hecht, Shliach in Park Slope, Brooklyn led an inspiring rally in 770 for all the local day camp children. He took the place of his beloved father, Rabbi Yakov Yehuda Hecht, known fondly as JJ Hecht by all, to honor the day of his passing.
The rally was held on Tu B’av, a very special day in the Jewish calendar. The children in Crown Heights celebrated this special day by gathering and joyfully singing and reciting the twelve pesukim.
