An underground fire sent flames through the air on the corner of Kingston Ave, and President Street in Crown Heights. The street was closed off for vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and nearby buildings were evacuated.

At around 11:30 this morning an underground fire sent flames through the air on the corner of Kingston Ave, and President Street in Crown Heights. Multiple FDNY responded to the scene of the explosion.
Firefighters said that multiple transformers have blown out caught fire, leaving a real possibility of local power outages.
Power outages have been reported in two nearby buildings, both buildings have been evacuated. No injuries have been reported.
Kingston Ave remains closed as the fire department fights the blaze, expect traffic and delays all around Crown Heights.
