Nine Months Later, Father Returns to the Ohel with Rescued Daughter

Nine months after Yaakov Argamani davened at the Rebbe’s Ohel for the safe return of his daughter, Noa, he returned with her together to thank Hashem for the incredible miracle of her release and to daven for the remaining hostages.

Noa Argamani, who was freed from Gaza by the IDF last month, made a visit to the Ohel of the Rebbe in New York today, where she offered a heartfelt prayer of thanks for her release. She was part of a group of hostage families accompanying Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on his visit to Washington. Tzeirei Chabad representatives in Israel, who have supported these families since Simchas Torah, were present to welcome her.

This visit is particularly poignant as it comes nine months after her father, Yaakov, davened at the Rebbe’s Ohel during a Tzeirei Chabad trip that included hundreds of hostage families. At that time, Yaakov held a picture of Noa, davening fervently for her safety. Today, they stood together, thanking Hashem for the miracle and davening for the rest of the hostages.

The group also included Talik Guily, mother of YSM officer Ran Guily HYD, whose remains are held by Hamas; Eli Bibas, father of hostage Yarden Bibas and grandfather of kidnapped children Kfir and Ariel; Ayelet Samrano, mother of Yonatan Samrano, who was kidnapped and later declared murdered; Ofek Shaul, brother of Oron Shaul, kidnapped during Operation Protective Edge; Shelly Shem Tov, mother of Omer Shem Tov, kidnapped from Nova; Esther Yahli, mother of hostage Ohad Yahalomi, and the grandmother of Eitan, a 12-year-old recently freed after 52 days in captivity.

This event follows a Tzeirei Chabad trip nine months ago, where nearly 200 family members prayed at the Rebbe’s Ohel and met with senior American officials. Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Aharonov, Chairman of Tzeirei Chabad, expressed, “While we are thankful for Noa’s release, our prayers continue for the return of all hostages.” Rabbi Shimi Segal organized the delegation’s visit, and Rabbis Mendel and Levi Fogelman welcomed them at the Ohel.

Noa also accompanied Prime Minister Netanyahu to Washington, where she attended his speech to Congress. Her mention by the Prime Minister was met with a prolonged standing ovation from Congress members.

The group also visited 770 and the Rebbe’s library.
