Montreal Mishmar Program Concludes with Grand Event

This past Monday, 7th graders of YTTL Montreal enjoyed an exclusive end-of-year celebration marking the completion of the Mishmar program, where they join Zal Bochurim on Thursday nights to learn a Sicha of the Rebbe B’chavrusa.

The event started off with a delicious Milchig dinner. The boys enjoyed pizza, poutine and more.

Following that, an award ceremony commenced. Each boy came up with their Chavrusa to receive a beautiful Rebbe picture, after which exciting prizes were raffled off.

And last but certainly not least, just before the end of the event, the boys were surprised with custom made Mishmar Yarmulkas to take home, capping off an incredible evening.

Mishmar was organized as one of many Peulos of the שביעי initiative, which was launched this year in YTTL to assist the 7th graders in growing in their Yiddishkeit and Chassidishkeit during the pivotal year of Bar Mitzvah, and headed by Shmuli Simpson.

A special thank you goes to Rabbi Zalman Lesches for arranging the funding for Mishmar throughout the year, and to the Bochurim of Montreal Zal for giving of their time to make this all possible.
