Manhattan Ohel Bus Makes First Trip

The new Manhattan Ohel Bus made its first trip from Manhattan’s Upper East Side to the Ohel with a group of young professionals who spent the comfortable bus ride learning teachings of the Rebbe together.

As we mark Gimmel Tammuz — 30 years — the well-known Ohel Bus service will now operate regularly from Manhattan, in an expansion that is available to everyone; a resource sure to be well-received.

Shluchim across Manhattan have welcomed the news service—which will run weekly—and has already seen groups utilizing this convenient mode of travel to visit the Ohel in connection with Gimmel Tammuz.

Among the guests on the first Manhattan Ohel bus was a group from Chabad Young Professionals of Manhattan’s Upper East Side, as they gathered at the Ohel for a program titled “Storm the Heavens.” Led by shluchim and noted influencers, they spent the comfortable bus ride to the Ohel in preparation for the holy visit, studying teachings of the Rebbe together.

Manhattan shluchim have welcomed the new service, and have offered personal support, as they’ve established a rotation of shluchim who will staff the weekly bus, offering guidance and mentorship to the passengers on their way to the Ohel.

Rabbi Chezky Wolff, of the Chelsea Shul and the Rohr Center for JGrads, sponsored the first week of the bus. He did so because “It’s an opportunity for people to go and ask for brachos and get help in their lives.”

The zechus of bringing people to the Rebbe is available for sponsorship, and organizers of Bus to Ohel thanked those who have already pledged their support, including Chabad of Russia, Chabad at the University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana, Chabad Lubavitch of Washington State, Chabad Lubavitch of Connecticut, The Wolf Family, Dovid Ben Sheina, Perel Golda Bas Leah and their family.

Special expanded bus service is available the week of Gimmel Tammuz—visit bustoohel.com for more information.

  1. Bonjour ,
