Guide Your Community in Observing Taharas Hamishpacha

Many Shluchim throughout the world successfully influence couples in their communities to observe Taharas Hamishpacha.

However, when it comes to practical questions that arise, most Shluchim have never had the opportunity to delve into Hilchos Taharah in a way that would allow them to issue practical rulings. They need to refer their community members to Rabbonim from elsewhere, which can be uncomfortable or lead to delays.

Two years ago, Lemaan Yilmedu created a program to train and certify Shluchim and other interested parties to issue practical rulings in Taharas Hamishpacha. Now entering its third cohort, more than 100 graduates of the course have been equipped with the necessary knowledge and expertise to manage shaylos in this area.

The course covers every aspect of Hilchos Taharah with a focus on practical psak and shimush, taught by Crown Heights Rov, Rabbi Tuvia Kasimov, a well-known expert in this field.

The program is especially appreciated by Shluchim, who are often the only source of Halachic guidance in their communities. Even in larger communities where there are other Rabbonim qualified to issue a psak, a Shliach may wish to be the address for all his community’s needs without making people have to shop around.

It takes about eighteen months for the cohort to complete the text-based segment of the course, followed by practical shimush on one’s own schedule and availability.

Participants schedule in-person sessions with Rabbi Kasimov when they are visiting New York to complete their training in paskening maros.

In addition to the halachos studies, the course also features a series of ten practical lectures on how to apply them to real-life scenarios from leading Rabbonim in the field and other experts.

Course applicants are limited to yungeleit, Shluchim, those who are planning on going on Shlichus or Rabonus, or pulpit Rabbis.

The course begins Tuesday, July 30.

The upcoming free Open House gives participants an excellent opportunity to get a taste of the course, explore the program’s offerings, and have all their questions answered. The Open House will take place on Zoom on Wednesday, 4 Tammuz, July 10, from 9 to 9:30 pm. Register at https://www.lemaanyilmedu.com/open-house
