Jake Tapper, who serves as the lead Washington anchor for CNN and one of the world’s most famous journalists, donned tefillin in Kyiv with Rabbi Fully Rutman, who also gave him shmurah matzah.
On Erev Pesach, Tapper, in Kyiv to cover the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, met with Rabbi Rutman, who returned to Kyiv to run sedorim for the remaning Yidden.
Rabbi Rutman put tefillin on with Tapper, and supplied him with shmurah matzah and everything he needs for a kosher seder.
“This is the power of the Rebbe and people committed to make a seder for those that could not leave a war zone,” a shliach told Anash.org.
