In reference to the story about my mother and the Rebbe’s response - the shul my father was the Rov for 50 years is called Tzemach Tzedek and BH continues today as well. It was established by Menachem Mendel Madorsky, a Lubavitch chosid who came to America at the turn of the century.

His seven sons were all accomplished doc and lawyers and kept the shul going. Unfortunately their J educ was not up to par as in those days. It was their deceased father, the Lubavitcher chossid, that came to his son in a dream.

After that incident the son and grandson became very close to my parents and in fact flew in to NY to be menachem ovel after my mother passed away this past year.
