Re the Ikea high chair, the Rav paskened that inserting the metal legs is fine. But to disassemble or assemble the tray onto the chair, is not okay.
We actually own this high chair and there is a hack that is found online which makes the assembly and disassembly of the tray just as easy as assembly of the legs.
And the reason why people do this is, because it makes the washing of the tray simple and easy by removing it and washing in the sink.
We're wondering if due to this hack it would be okay to remove or to assemble on Shabbos.
The hack is basically snipping a few of the plastic tabs on the bottom of the tray.
