While it’s true that one shouldn’t be flashing their fancy sneakers or golden suit, but THIS is directly related to a Mitzvah!!! It’s so beautiful that a Bar Mitzvah Bochur’s “fashion statement” isn’t sneakers or sweatpants, but his Tefillin bag! Similar to a beautiful Esrog box or like the Rebbe’s sterling silver Megillah case.

There is such a positive way to look at this “koch” in having a beautiful Tefillin bag that he’s proud to display in the street, and I’m sure Hashem sees it in that beautiful way.

Does the creator of this video even remember that day? It’s probably way before he was born.
We don’t need to dress and carry in such an ostentatious way that people fall off the roof looking at us.
This is overboard and not what a bar mitzvah boy needs to worry about
