Having read the messages here
1 while the Rebbe for his reasons consistently wore a coat for many years and them stopped for a while, don’t assume you know the reason.
The Rebbe usually prefers cold, as can be said from the temperature in his place and rooms.

Why the Rebbe wore a coat whenever he was out side until recent years. Dunno if we need to guess unless it is your way of hiskashrusn to know thoughts?

Separate gym!

a bit unrelated, but something i noticed the Rebbe always being insistent on is wearing a coat when its cold, and the Rebbe considered even fairly high temperatures cold. – IIRC, I saw a story of the Rebbe asking a bochur in Iyar(!) where his coat is, and if he considers the weather not coat-worthy (for a strange reason, many of the people that tend to talk about healthy habits based on Torah conveniently ignore this one…)
