The condition of the Crown Heights fire victims has improved BH. Two of the bochurim are set to be released from the hospital, and a third is also making improvement.

Shmuel Ben Merav remains in critical condition at a NYC Health + Hospitals Burn Unit. He has sustained severe burns covering 50% of his body, and his lungs have been significantly impacted by smoke inhalation. The medical team is working tirelessly to stabilize his condition.

The family asks the community to continue reciting Tehillim, increasing Torah learning, giving Tzedakah, and engaging in acts of Gemilus Chasadim on his behalf.

The family extends its deepest gratitude to Chaplains of the United States Chaplain Corps (USCC) from the Crown Heights Chapter who are standing by to support the family. Special thanks to Shliach Rabbi Zalman Teitelbaum and his family, the Einstein Kosher Hospitality House, Ahavas Chesed of Crown Heights, and Kingston Bake Shop for their unwavering assistance.
