Bdi’eved if a Maamid Pasul was used, one may use the Sukka L’katchila (629:13).
Please explain why “he shouldn’t use the sukka during an extreme wind since at that time it’s being supported by possul materials.”

By tying the 2x2s together at their ends with plastic cable ties, the maamid secures the bamboo mats in a “sandwich”, between the 2x2s. The schach is secure, while the cable ties are only tied to the ‘maamid’.
