I was wondering the same. Maybe if there are friends/mivtzoim you didn’t have a chance to give on Friday. It mentions in an earlier footnote regarding Yerushalayim that if someone for whatever reason hadn’t given matanos laevyonim on Friday they shall fulfill the mitzvah on Sunday.
