Yes, and I would add that I don’t think we need to compare the Nachas Ruach caused by a “bochur or yungerman that puts a filter on his phone and a young woman that adds something in Tznius today” to “a Tomim in Lubavitch’s davening or a frum bubbe’s teary candle-lighting on Friday night”.
The whole beauty of the point of this article is that there is nothing like the present generation with its Nisyonos, and therefore with its Nachas-causing.

I appreciate this article and look forward to seeing more. It’s an important discussion. For some, the points may touch a raw nerve, for others the points may be motivational. Probably for many there’s a mix of responses. So what are we supposed to do before or after gimmel Tammuz? Discuss with one’s own mashpiya. Aseh lcha a Rav, directive of the Rebbe, is for all times. How do we best accomplish our avodas Hashem and that includes with today’s technology and style and Brochos for revealedest good for Our children. And it helps us be part of the personal and global Redemption. That is the Rebbe’s mission statement. Moshiach now.

I don’t think anyone of the op eds are saying how they wish they were in a different era, they are pointing out things things that need to be corrected or informing the public of what’s the correct way which many of our generation may not be aware and it is our duty to inform and obviously do the best we can, ירידת הדורות is inevitable but it doesn’t exempt us from correcting wrongs to the best of our ability and doing the best we can, and that is indeed the way we prepare ourselves and the world around us for the Geula!

Really well said and appreciated!
This article really balances noticing the reality of today’s situations and people, and yet finding strength in the good of it. I don’t believe that this is being naive, letting people off the hook or sugar coating our reality. I think the facts are there and noticed clearly and it doesn’t seem the author has any intentions to justify the wrongs, yet what is the best way to to grow from one’s situation if not for doing what is brought up here, of finding the positive and trying to work with what there is uniquely (which might be very negative in a general view) to complete our goal? The fact that what is being discussed is not on an individual level, gives space the understand that this is not negating each person working on onself, rather reminding that the facts of a community as a whole shouldn’t deter each person from finding the positive in his generation and working with and appreciating that role.
Really appreciated this article and find it very empowering.

To be sameach bechelko is a gevaldikeh maaleh, especially regarding something one can’t change. Understanding that the Eibishter runs the world is fundamental. But that does not mean your matzav is good compared to the past. Imagine a guy on a hospital bed dying of yene machle. He understands it’s from Hashem and is happy that he can put on teffilin for the last few times. It doesn’t mean he’s in a good situation. We have to seek out the positive in everything, but not fool ourselves that this rotten golus is good. Rotzuy veshuv. Ad mosai!

What your saying is:live and let live according to how our generation is molding into, which is okay. I will disagree as our parents generation are going very heavy in the mental health on us and it is wrong! This is the results of our Rebbes fruit from his labor for over 40 years?! I’m ashamed! They literally took the Rebbe for granted. Our generation has to stand up together and support one another instead of allowing the parents generation rule/ruin our lives – literally! In that there is no effort whatsoever. And the attitude is a hefker velt, not my problem. So irresponsible and keep on allowing parents to ruin lives… heartbreaking.
