The letter clearly says יום ג and it was probably written in תריז which was on a Tuesday based of other letters about that topic (look in the beis moshiach where it was printed originally)
And regarding what the rebbe rayatz writes, he writes לערך unlike other places where he does not write לערך

the date the letter was written was יום א’ not יום ג’ as deciphered, (though there is reason to think that a ג was written,) 17 sivan in both of the above years was a sunday, (unless theres a mistake in deciphering the date that the צמח צדק wrote)
