Great news for all students. Public schools may have liked the content but the pressure of teaching towards the regents and making students have to pass all Regents in order to get a HS diploma needed for jobs that often have nothing to do with the subject of the Regent took away from students actually learning basic skills and feeling successful, staying in school. Plus the pressure had to do with teachers and principals being part of cheating. Good news for all NYS students.
