This initiative started under Bill De Blasio with the eventual goal of cars being able to go no faster than 20 mph throughout the entire city.

The template for the initiative is something called Vision Zero which started in Sweden.

https://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/downloads/pdf/albany-ave-troy-ave-bergen-st-park-pl-oct2025.pdf this proposal is from October 2025 about a bike lane on Troy and Albany between Park place and Bergen Street. This is a non-issue for most of the Crown heights neighborhood. Barely any yiddishe people live there. I’m just unsure why there are some individuals pushing his political agenda on groups that have nothing to do with politics.

Anybody commenting here is just ignorant because they cannot face the facts.

People should physically stand on the street and prevent them from installing this danger to our community.

This is not a mistake, they are intentionally punishing communities that didn’t vote “correctly” with whatever they can throw at them.

In Staten Island, they’re putting a homeless shelter in some random residential neighborhood.
