In reply to <a href="https://anash.org/new-ai-training-course-for-teachers/#comment-67671">Technology</a>.

It would be naive to think that technology is an innocent tool like a hammer. Technology, and especially AI, have built in dispositions, and they tend to consume and shape.

We need to be keenly aware of how a particular technology is shaping and bending our message. Not specifically in a way that goes against our values (which is also a problem), but in the thinking style and emphasis. There are already studies on how AI is affecting human thought and language. As Yidden and Chassidim, this should concern us more than anyone else.

It's a tool like any technology and should be used for kedusha. If you're teaching and you show the students a picture that AI made of a scenario that's very hard to explain, it became much more realistic to them. It's true that children need personal care and sometimes this helps the teacher connect to the students better and engage them more.

"The virtues of sanctity and faith cannot be simply bought at the market or store, and one must invest much labor and toil to achieve their instilment. In addition, they can only be conveyed by G-d-fearing people, and through teaching the children holy studies."
