A friend on fine had the same thing with his esrog. Rabbi bell from Montreal told him the Alter Rebbe says it’s “yoveish”, dry. Obviously it didn’t look dry. The rov said the only to really find out was to cut it open 🙂

With the amount of chemicals that gets sprayed on these not surprising that the outside becomes completely sealed and gets preserved

Seems sketchy. Could be it is gmo or something. Not sure if making a brachah on it is a good idea

I’ve had such an esrog before, but when cut open was completely rotten on the inside. I think a Rov was asked and he said it’s Passul.
