One letter is from 5731 to the shluchim in Toras Emmes-Yerushalayim. At that time there were some talmidim in the Yeshiva who felt that a certain mashpia in the yeshiva was not fit for his role. Some of the shluchim were involved in this as well. The Rebbe penned a letter to the shluchim as follows
ב”ה, י’ אדר, תשל”א
ברוקלין
לכבוד ……… וחבריהם התלמידים השלוחים שיחיו
שלום וברכה!
במענה למכ’ מיום ד’ אדר עם המצו”ב –
פשוט שלא נשלחו לתו”א לנהל את הישיבה כ”א להיות דוגמא חי’ לחי”ל ולהשפיע על הת’ גם בדיבור וכו’, וככל תלמיד בכל ישיבה – להציע שיפורים (כיון שע”פ הנודע שלב יודע מרת נפשו יש ענינים שהת’ יודעים, ולא ההנהלה).
– באם אין יכולים לקבל עליהם המרות או בכלל להתדבר עם ההנהלה – מובן שאין ענין לנהל מחלוקת וכו’ – ויעברו לתו”ת בכחב”ד (בתור תלמידים).

How easy do you make it for parents to reach you?
Do you use care to speak pleasantly and professionally with parents of all times?

As parents of bochurim in yeshiva for many years we greatly value the tremendous contribution and dedication of our hanhalas. That being said these question don’t come from a vacuum. They point to the reason that many parents don’t pick up the phone.

We do amazing work in lubavitch. When we will feel comfortable to be honest about our weakness in addition to recognizing our strengths, then we will truly be strong and productive.
