Unfortunately, stories like these require complete blind faith to believe in them. It’s not a story that the Rebbe said, this is a story based completely off what two people have witnessed, and if there’s no names, there’s no way to verify it. So, just the testimony of one person makes it harder for people (especially those who aren’t Lubavitch) to believe such stories. As a Chabad chasid, of course, I believe the story. Still, I feel like it would be helpful for verification for stories like these, especially when they’re publicized in a way that a real, like a story of the Rebbe from before Gimmel Taamuz would be publicized.
It’s nice and all, but when it comes down to business, to spread it to the world, there’s gotta be real verification.

I think what is even more amazing than the actual story is the fact that we are used to ohel miracles and almost expect them to happen.
I do want to note that it is NOT mainstream lubavich minhag to read other peoples panim at the ohel, unless they specifically request it. The fact that the Rebbe did so does not mean that we should
